2001 Alero turn signal problem but recall already fixed

This morning my turn signal started acting up. After I would turn it off I could still hear the clicking sound, although slightly faster than when it was on. I would hear it for a minute then it stops. I will also sometimes hear it randomly go click click click a few times then stop, even if I haven't put the turn signal on.

I already had the hazard switch recall fixed (actually fixed before the recall went out). Is this somehow related, another problem altogether, or does my car just hate me

It could still be related or the same re-occuring problem. I know of other Alero owners that had the hazard/flasher relay fix done and later needed it again.

i have this problem (click click after turn signal off) 2 years - this is no hazard switch problem. i think this is master switch problem! any ideas???

Experienced the same problem with my 2001 model.

The hazard/turn relay (behind the hazard button) was replaced twice and the clicking continued. Plugged in a third new relay at the dealer with the same clicking results.

Had fits with the GM dealer's service department about getting it fixed at their expense. After calls to GM and complaining of our dis-satisfaction, they permitted the fix.

Mechanic reported that the electrical connector on that connects to the hazard/turn relay was defective.

The connector was replaced and no more annoying clicking sounds after two months.
