I think that is bullshit. One time my locks on my car froze shut when I was at work before school. I called school to tell them I would be late due to car troubles and they said "Do you have a parent there to confirm that?" For Christ's sake I can't call school and tell them I'm going to be late because of car troubles without parental permission to be late but a girl can go and have an abortion without any of her parents knowing?

The law is meant to be conservative so it's a direct conflict with the current law. If they lean it any to the left there's more of a chance of it reamining left.

Personally I think abortion is murder. When you have sex you signed the contract that if something happens you're responsible. the problem with liberals is they don't want to take responsibility of their own actions. Look at these lawsuits. Suing McDonalds because they got fat, ect.

The only time I see abortion fit is rape or maternal life. Also for rape they are given the option of RU-486 which is a chemical abortive that works only in the first trimester. I mean if a women can't make up her mind in 3 months, tough shit the baby is too developed. I believe in a thing called personal responsibility and this is just a way of neglecting personal responsibility.

On the other end I do support stem cell research because they are using pre-differentiated stem cells which haven't formed into anything specialized. Plus the stem cells would go to waste at fertility clinics anyway. I see that as more of a resepct for human life than letting the stem cells go to waste.

Planned Parenthood has threatened litigation but so far to my knowledge nothing has been filed. Any day now.
