Question No turn signals or lower brake lights - '99 Suburban

Was pulling my car trailer the other day and blew a fuse on the turn signal/backup light circuit when I put the right turn signal on. I have found the problem with the trailer however the problem with my Suburban remains. I have no turn signals, hazard lights, or lower brake lights (the third brake light still works). I have replaced bulbs, checked all fuses, replaced those relevant to my problem, bypassed the trailer hookup, checked the fuse and relay box under the hood, and tested the fuse sockets for power which they are all testing good. I'm thinking I may have burned out a fuseable link somewhere on the vehicle but I'm not sure where to start looking. If anyone has encountered this problem before or has any ideas as to what might be happening in this situation please post them. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info. That's exactly what the problem was and it's fixed now. Quite a pricey little gadget but I needed it. The trailer got new wiring too.

Re: No turn signals or lower brake lights - '99 Suburban

I am having this same problem. Went to look for the part "multifunction switch" online and can't find it. Is it called something esle, too? I also have a 99 Burb. Also, how difficult is this to fix myself, say, on a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being most difficult)?

Thanks!
