Re: Bought Reverse Glow Gauges

yeah the inverters seem to be crappy. I sawed my old one open and they are filled solid so no way to fix them really either. I just bought a new one. got 2 days out of it before the accident lol.

Re: Bought Reverse Glow Gauges

I bought the exact same guages from the same person Your all set. Everythang lines up the same. Besides, you don't need to drive your car past 6,000 rpms anyway. Easy to install, just take your time and don't break the needles. I went a bought some tiny screws for the Temp and Fuel gauge. (there were holes arealdy available for screws. With the rpm and speedometer, i just put the black bezel on (or whateva its called) and that held down those 2. But most important, KEEP YOUR HANDS CLEAN. I made the mistake of taking a break and eating potato chips while installing mine. Got grease everwhere. and for Power, i just tapped into my cigerette light. (the green wire) have a Voltage tester handy. Overall very easy install. hardest part was trying to get the cluster back in with the wires and shit. Good luck.

Re: Bought Reverse Glow Gauges

I bought the reverse glo gauges about 3 years ago for my gst. I had so many problems with the needles being off and never could get them aligned back up. (Meaning the gas gauge didn't read right and my mph was about 5mph off).
I really love the way these one's look though. I didn't care for the one's I bought and took them out several months later and sold them (the one's that you could switch from either blue or green).
Good luck with the install.

Here's another write on how to install them...with lot's of pics. http://www.sytyarchives.com/howto/vi...p&dir=interior

Re: Bought Reverse Glow Gauges

You don't have to remove the needles at all with those... The faces lined up perfect on my old car also... You can slip everything over the needles and just make sure the guage face is held down and your good to go. It looks super nice btw. Good job

Yeah the ones in the picture actually look like he has the green inverter. When you have the one that switches between blue and green that center part turns noticeably blue (rather then the greenish tint it has there).
