I would have said... "OK... if you kept the engine and used it for yourself it's free, but you sold MY engine, therefore you owe me a 98% commission.. I'll let you keep 2% for your time and trouble." Then if he said no... he wouldn't have said no because I'd be holding a 12 gauge and loading it (real slow) the whole time I was saying that, staring him straight in the eyes. Then I'd kind of point it his general direction and say "I like large bills. I'll wait here while you get my money."

The I'd have parked some lead in his engine if he refused. He could use "his" money to buy a new one.

What a douchebag.

I got never got payed for fixing a flat tire on a friend’s girlfriend’s moped and I did get her agree to pay me for intertube and the work before I started working. It wasn’t bad since I was only out $4 for the intertube.

All car work I’ve done has been for family members and I haven’t got screwed-over...........yet.

u know, he could have broke u off some cash after he sold it, hell. as a matter of fact when i wrecked my rs i had it in back of our shop and a few of the guys sold parts off of it, but they called me and told me they sold the part and gave me the money for it when i came in, and i broke them off a few bills just for taking the time to sell the stuff.... your family did u wrong man, i would at least bring it to his attention..
