Question Hooking up a Tach to Measure RPM's

95 Cavalier 2.2 OHV l fi vin 4. Where do you hook up a dwell/tach on the DIS to measure rpms? Is there a connector under the hood to hook up a tach to measure engine rpms? And what would you disconnect to do a cranking testing ,so the engine wont fire.

Your coil pacs are underneath your intake manifold. Just follow the plug wires...

I appreciate the info Junkie, all I wanted to do was check the idle speeds, not install or have to cut anything. I Was hoping they may have had a tach terminal like the old HEI systems did.

Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty mang.

and I have a tach adapter from MSD you can buy . I paid 90 for it will sell it 55 shipped. Never once used, bought for my old Cavy and then sold the car. Still in original packaging.
