I bought my '88 CDV on Nov 1st, and solved minor electrical problems. The right turn signal did not blink, but a loose plug at the bumper was the problem. Front parking lights and fender side markers would not light....fuse #10 was burned out. Two items remain. The exterior opera lights and the courtesy alarm (chime)...supposed to sound with the key in the ignition, door open and other trigger items...No big deal on the opera lights, just haven't gone in the trunk to check the inverter that feeds the fibre optics. The alarm, however is behind the glove box, and quite inaccessible. I have the shop manual, but haven't found a good circuit test yet. Has anyone had success getting the alarm working in their Deville? Appreciate any help. The car is a real jewel and a joy to drive.

On my 76 DeVille the buzzer is right below the pedals behind some carpet. I found it while I was searching out my vacuum problem with the Climate Control. There was a connector that was pulled, i plugged it back in and OMG, this awful ear piercing noise started up. I immediately pulled that connector again. And it will stay dis-connected. You sure you want the buzzer?
And I love the way mine rides, a few suspension items need to be worked out but otherwise it is great.
