Re: New to the GTO Forum, 56k beware
I didn't challenge you to a race. I simply suggest you get into the real world, and stop living on the computer. Your Pontiac, if equiiped with a V8, will undoubtedly beat my little P-body (2.8 lr., stock as a rock, but damn cute and very collectable! '88 GT).
"Why do you hate me?" Your words, all based on a delusion of self-importance. I don't hate ANYONE. Hate is very immature and self-centered concept. If you take my words IN CONTEXT, and include the entire sentences, you will notice I said, months ago, '72 is an option on LeMans. My point (it appears this needs to be explained to you) was that your comments that GTO is not a "real" GTO, are just rocks being thrown by a glass-house resident. And where in the world did you get the idea I don't know what a '72 looks like? That's absurd. I've swapped engines in probably 25 '72s over the years. I can spot any year GTO from down the block and around the corner. Your semantics don't fool anyone but you. Your veiled allegations are obvious to all reading this. Nunzi WAS one of the "men" back in olden times. He refused to be involved with the book because he felt he was "above" it all. Like so many of the old school guys, he doesn't like where we're taking the Pontiac. Building a modern Pontiac race engine requires more than an 041 clone and big valves... Those days are gone. Actually, using ANY factory parts is getting to the point where it's obsolete, just like the Chevy and Dodge crowds. If you think his advice is good (Nunzi), then follow it (call KRE, the number is 740 599-5000, ask for Jeff). And while you're at it, ask Jeff Kauffman about me! The answer won't be the one you want, but it WILL be accurate. I won't banter with you anymore. While I have more class than to "ignore" anyone, I WILL avoid responding to threads where your presence and mine could cause a rucus... Jim |
