Re: W.I.P Veilside R33 (first model, 56k uhoh)

lol, i had that problem and thought WTF, not only is the kit metal, almost impossible to smooth out and work with, but its also too short.

I simply sanded down the wheel arches like a noob, later reading here i coulda used styrene to fill in the differance instead.

live and learn

Very Impressive, a Fujimi Kit with a body kit is a Challengeing kit for most people, but you seem to have done your research and have the talent to take your time to build this kit well.
Well done, don't rush and enjoy the build. It looks awsome!

Re: W.I.P Veilside R33 (first model, 56k uhoh)

I am new to this hobby too. As for the interior being too shiney, ever think of using some dullcote to spray on top of it? I did this to my messed up interior and I was able to recover it decently. I use this trick all the time when I mess up with my brush painting (when the shine is different on different spots). This saves me some time in stripping paint.

Re: W.I.P Veilside R33 (first model, 56k uhoh)

thanks alot for the compliments guys. I'm in the air about spraying flat clear over the interior, but seeing as its already glued together, i may just pass on it.

After messing up the front seats and dumping them in brake fluid, i decided to simply paint them red. Masking with crappy/ghetto tape is uber frustrating, so i just sprayed them one color. I hope it won't look wierd once put together.

oh oh, i'm thinking real hard about cutting out the driver side window. I think it just looks odd if you can't see into the car clearly. Maybe even the "roll down" mod on the passenger side
