Re: Program keyless remote-Need instructions
Ranga,
The 97-99 Camry "purple wire" instructions are for the factory GQ43VT7T remote. If you have the BAB237131-022 remote for the dealer or port installed system, the instructions are different. Are you sure you have the correct remote for the car?

Hey,
I know it's been a while since you offered to post toyota transmitter reprogram codes, but I have a 1997 Avalon and just bought two new transmitters from wireless and the program instructions deal with resetting the security ECM and I have spent 2+ hours tearing apart the dash to no avail. I tried jumping the light warning module in the trunk with no luck. So, if you could post the procedure for my avalon it would be great. Thank you Quote:

Re: Program Avalon keyless remote-Need instructions
Hi folks not sure If I am doing this right. First time - anyway I need the programing instructions for the remote entry for my 2000 Avalon. I have read the instructions posted. Only problem is that My car is in Australia and only has one button on the remote labelled "Doors". I am hoping it is an older or different version of something delivered in the US. Failing that if there are any Aussie readers who could help I would be greatful

Re: Program keyless remote-Need instructions
The 2001 4Runner with remote FCC # HYQ1512Y uses the same instructions as the 1999 4Runner in the above post.

Re: Program keyless remote-Need instructions
Does anyone know the battery type that goes on these remote control. I bought CR2016 which seemed to fit but still did not work. The light was not on when pressed. originalkeyless.com personel told me to use CR2025 but it is too thick to fit. i have tried to reprogram but did not work i think due to the remote control battery issue.
What is the right battery for this remote? |

Re: Program for keyless remote,2000 Camry
Previous programs for 2000 Camry keyless remote don't work. The following program is the right one.
1. Start with key out of the ignition, driver door is open (all others closed), and driver door is unlocked.
Use an even pace and try to go about one cycle per second. 1 cycle = 1 lock and 1 unlock) b. Close, then open driver’s door.
with lock. Use an even pace and try to go about one cycle per second. (1 cycle = 1 lock and 1unlock) b. Insert the key in the ignition cylinder. c. Turn the ignition to ON (as far as you can without cranking the engine) then back to OFF. d. Turn the ignition to ON (as far as you can without cranking the engine) then back to OFF. e. Remove the key from the ignition.
b. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, hit the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should cycle once indicating successful programming. If the door locks don’t cycle, or cycle twice, repeat steps a and b-your remote has not been accepted. c. Repeat steps a and b in step 6 for each new and existing transmitter. 7. Close driver door. |
