Re: racing fuel
it shoudnt, as long as it's not pure or close to pure. and it will be diluted when you throw it in with premium fuel anyway.
i havent ever tried it, there is a good chance it will, as long as it doesnt have more than 20% water in it. Jack Daniels and other hard liquers are Ethanol, and that can be used as fuel. it should mix well with gasoline. and it absorbs water too, so you can use as a water remover. Ethanol has an octane rating of about 110, so it should raise the octane level of your fuel. of course, if you want any big gains, youll might have to put alot of it in the tank. if you do use it, the purer the alcohol the better. and just abot any will work as long as its sugar based(Brazil uses sugar based Ethanol for everyday fuel) or grain based. Wood based Methanol isnt as safe. |

Just a quick pointer here if a fuel addative says that it will raise your octaine by 7 pionts it is not talking about 7 octaine it is talking about .7 octaine very few addatives are worth the price. You can mix Toluine into your gas and make it raceworthy 1/3 toluine to 2/3 92 oct gas = 98.6 Oct just so you know.
