Seriously RSX-S777, after i red your thread, i am badly thinking about saling my car! Do you know yhe weight of the new SI? Do you think it's going to be faster than our type-s??? And is the LSD making a car so much BETTER, there must be a bad thing about the LSD if acura didn't put it on the type-s, like a lost of horsepowers???Thanks

I'm thinking that if RSX-S 2007 come out standard with Turbo for same price or few Grand more. That way can finally compete with SRT-4,STI and EVO. 0-60 in 4.5 sec that would be sweet!

Re: RSX obsolete...

Honda is not going to turbo its cars...

The whole reason they made Vtec was to give the horsepower gains of a turbo, without the fuel effeciency lost...their crazy about fuel effeciency at Honda, thats why they still don't have a commercial V8

Dream on Garth...dream on

The Lotus looks a lot like the RSX though....

And there are some fairly reliable rumours out there that the RDX will be a turbo I4 as well as the NSX.

But don't place your pets on a turbo'd RSX. Acura isn't looking to beat the SS and SRT-4, its looking to have something that fits in with the Acura brand image.

Re: RSX obsolete...

I was psyched to read that the new NSX replacement will have a cutting edge AWD setup. Even if Honda decides to release an affordable AWD model, it won't be the Integra. Not to mention the NSX will have 12 cylinders. I don't see them slapping a turbo on anything to make up for the added weight. So at the very best we'd be looking at a heavy-ass, underpowered NA TSX or TL. I think Honda is just extremely conservative. Sounds odd to say considering the advances they've made in design and engine technology- but overall they just won't move too far away from certain setups for fear of failure. It's getting old. If Nissan and Mitsubishi can iron out some quality issues, Honda stands a chance of burial among performance-oriented compact and small sedan buyers. The Altima, the WRX, the Eclipse, the new Toyota hatch coming out etc, etc. You can argue reliability all day long for alot of other models, but at least they are pushing the limits a bit more and rewarding buyers with (surprise!) MORE when they spend more.

Re: RSX obsolete...

Yup- Google the Corolla Compressor. I'm not a hatch fan, but it looks pretty nice and has very decent specs...

Looks like a cross between the Si hatchback and a Ford Focus!

No doubt......didn't Toyota get the message Honda learned from that hideous Civic Si? Evidently not.
