Question About importing AE86
I was wondering if I imported a Trueno or Levin into the U.S., would it be street legal.

u have to comply them, by that i mean u have to make the car road registerable by american laws b4 u put it on the road. But once that is done it will be street legal. However this is an expencive process. I recommend alot of research b4 u embark on such a venture.

That would be really expincive and more work than its worth. Its cheaper to find a US 1985-87 SR-5 or GT-S corolla, and put on a JDM front end and emblems in my opinion.

True that!
There are some cars that can never be street legal over here. In Canada Mitsubishi Evo. 8's (imported) arn't legal, but i have seen one in Vancouver. Maybe it was a clone?
