you could probably find a donor car for a little over $1000. make sure it had all the parts for the tt conversion and nothing was removed. to find one that cheap, find a vr4 that threw a rod or had some major mechanical engine failure.
or you could just buy the parts, which would probably be a bit more costly b/c you have to factor in shipping, unless you can go pick it up somewhere. if i ever decide to do the TT conversion, then i would buy a donor car, b/c you have all the parts right there. if you buy all the parts, then you'll probably need a washer or two here, bolts, and other little miscellaneous that are easy to forget.
