They call those things on the arse of a Geo a "bumper" too Ian....
A Winch Bumper is designed for holding and utilizing a winch. A Bullbar was originally designed for protective use against hitting cattle at high speed and disabling your vehicle in the middle of BFE. Same as a "Roo-Bar." I've added some pics of my silver ARB to the members section. I had it painted to match the rest of the X.
