car stereo at home?
well i know i posted this before a long time ago but cant find the thread again. but ive found an inverter to switch 120v to 12v at radioshack
http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...%5Fid=22%2D510 would that work for a light duty (45wx4 stereo) ive got a crappy cd player jsut sitting here and am wanting to get some use out of it as my car is sitting in storage at my fathers house.

to bad i got rid of my old computer, it would have come in handy.

You should be able to pick up a computer power supply for very cheap.
A car battery works if you're just testing it out but you don't want it in your house... it'll give off gases. Also, you have to keep charging it up. |

You could pick up a power supply cheap from a computer show (1-10 dollars) You could also go to the local computer store and buy a brand new one for 20.
