Re: Cheap Luxary Car

2 grand for a luxury car with 80k, you're dreaming.

Re: Cheap Luxary Car

you can get a lot of luxury cars for 2k though, they'll be pretty old and have high mileage though.

I'd suggest something mechanically simple like a Cadillac Deville or Lincoln Towncar. Might even want to look at a late 80's Chrysler Fifth Avenue. A lot of people have problems with the early LHS and yes, it IS a luxury car. There are also a lot of nice Buicks like Park Avenues and LeSabres that are fairly luxurious but cheap.

A 1980's BMW or Benz maybe, but your restrictions are a bit too tight.

Re: Cheap Luxary Car

Not exactly luxo, but how about something like a Kia or Hyundai V6 car with a couple hundred thousand on it?

Re: Cheap Luxary Car

an alero is just a grand am with oldsmobile badges, not really a luxury car.

You obviously dont appreciate GM. Olds is more luxury appointed then pontiac is. The alero has more luxury appointments than any grand am. Yes they do share the same body and drivetrain but that doesnt make a luxury different from a sports oriented car.

Re: Cheap Luxary Car

I have been in an alero, it didn't seem any different from a grand am other than having a little more sound dampening and green backlighting rather than orange.

I have to agree that you can't find any real luxury cars for under 2k, at least not BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Cadillac, etc.. but Buicks and Oldsmobiles are nice, my 1996 Olds LSS has power everything, dual zone climate control, 12 disc-CD, sun roof, comfy as hell, and very quick and it handles extremely well for its size.

Re: Cheap Luxary Car

Check out autotrader.com, there are numerous vehicles in your area. Not under 2K with 80K miles or less, but worth a look.

Re: Cheap Luxary Car

Forgot to mention....Mercury Grand Marquis is a pretty solid car, and can be had w/leather, etc.
