Re: Window

The price sounds good from them, but they get you on the shipping charges. They gotta make their money somehow, they sell at Dealer cost.

Re: Window

i got a little bit of a window issue too, my windows go up really slow, and sometimes they go so slow they stop half way and i have to help it go up the rest of the way, how would i make it so it glides up and down faster and smoother? do i have to lube up the track and gears or something??? i dont want to risk burning out the motor, i know those can be very costly, or is the motor itself?

Re: Window

It's probably the motor, but you can try lubricating the cables to see if that helps.

Re: Window

alright ill try that, i noticed too that if the car is turned on (engine and all) the windows go up faster, but with the ignition key just turned to "ON" and the engine not running, then they will go up slower.

Re: Window

I bought the part, now my inability to figure out mechanical things sometimes is blocking me. Now do the parts containing the switches just pop straight out, or do I need to push a clip or something?

Okay, here is the new part

Here is how the current part sits in the car. See how the clip at the top came off causing the whole bezel to move around which could more than likely cause the switch to disconnect?

Re: Window

If you lightly pry on the tabs on the bezel, the switches will pop out. Unplug them first of course.

Re: Window

Granted I attempted this by flashlight at first, but I am having a hell of a time disconnecting the switches.

I tried simply unplugging them by yanking with no result. I pried my pocket knife gently in the window switch and unplugged that one. The door lock I tried pushing the two plastic clip looking things at the top by the wiring and I tried prying my knife into different spots on the side, even chipping a little plastic off (oops!).

I gave up and plugged it back in with everything still working .

If I could have some guidance on how to unplug these bastards, it would be much appreciated. Then when popping the switches out, I just gently pry something into the clips at the base of the bezel and they should just pop out 1/4 at a time right?

Sorry, I learn best by example and it's hard to go off of message boards.

Thanks again.
