Stock wheels would have been nice

This is the same exact kit as the revell diecast version. Aside from the plastic body and rediculous wheels The kit is cool. But yea, coulda used stock wheels.

I've heard the CSI diecast version has stock wheels/tires and a different chassis because the ride height is higher. Anyone compare the two kits to see other commonalities/differences? Perhaps if you want full stock just get the diecast kit and repaint it. The body looked as well-cast as plastic whenever I saw it.

I think you are right Bob. I haven't had a chance to compare the two kits piece by piece yet. But I can remember from the CSI, that most of the parts are the same.

In a stunning turn of events, I actually like the bling version better than stock

Anyone who knocks Revell's newest diecast bodies is crazy-unless they want to do major surgery to it. The bodies are thin and crisp and the paint is easily stripped and won't have any problem with painting it in lacquers. If someone wants stock, the CSI kit seems to be the way to go.

As for scale, it's fine w/me in 1/25. That scale difference is only bothersome to me when it's a sport compact or import, ie something that's normally kitted in 1/24 worldwide. US vehicles traditionally have been modeled in 1/25 scale, so the scale is appropriate for a beast like this. It beats the hell out of Maisto's insistence on 1/27 scale for large vehicles. However, I spit nails when Revell does a Honda/Acura/Subaru or other sport compact in 1/25. That is when they JUST DON'T GET IT
