Re: 96-01 Integra Choices?
They are just as reliable as the GS/LS Integras. It just doesn't come in an auto transmission, that's the only neg. as far as daily driving IMO.

Re: 96-01 Integra Choices?
Uh... forever. I met a guy with a 1995 GSR with 155K miles on it... It was purring nicely, and he said he hadn't had any major trouble with it.

my 93 has about 175,000 on it. No major problems ever. most severe thing was a water pump at about 150,000, and a starter at about 165,000.
Oh and I beat the hell out of it.... alot.

good to know, any major differences between the years 94-1999 with the GS-Rs?

Re: 96-01 Integra Choices?
Those years are all the same. The only difference is that in 1996 they turned into OBDII instead of OBDI (94,95). There is a slight extra kick in the OBDI GSR's in my opinion. OBDII seemed to kinda knock a little edge off the car, but they run the same time, so it could just as easily be my imagination.

Re: 96-01 Integra Choices?
dumb question but is there an i/h/e that improves flow but doesn't make it loud? I dont want a loud exhaust I want high-flow for better performance/fuel economy and is there a price/manufacture you'd suggest?

repairs and replacements: 1 battery; 1 replacement of front brakes and pads; several sets of tires; timing belt, drive belts, and water pump (not necessary but engine open anyway) at 115,000 miles for a total of $750; 1 radiator at 120,000 miles; oil changed every 7,500 miles reliability: just drove the car during a hurricane evacuation for 24 hours continuously in 1st and 2nd gear with the A/C at full blast - not a problem |
