Question Help Needed! Should I buy a 1980's 6 series

Can anyone advise me on what I should look for and which model / year is truly the best.

I have a jag X-type but have only done 9000 miles in 2years so seems a bit of a waste, but need something fairly large. As the mileage is minimal per year I reckon I can look at a 'classic'.

Willing to spend up to £10k for immaculate model.

I have just found a nice vehicle. Mine is a 1987 635 model L6. The interior is completely leather which I did not even know existed. The car runs perfect, however, when I get stuck in stop and go traffic it tends to run a little hot. It quickly cools once going again.
My suggest would be to grab one if you can by all means. I have had many sports cars but none has the feel of this vehicle.
