your a socal guy???? Cool man im sure you had a hard time with smog that was one of the reasons why I got a newer silverado and left my well driven 91 caprice man that thing has 200+k miles on it and I think it could leave my silverado in the dust I have a ton of respect for the 305 engine

305's are a VERY dependable engine. Not the fastest one on the block, but my dad had one in his 84 Silverado that had ~700,000 miles on it with no work other than maintenance before it gave out. He's got one in his current truck that looks very much like it could make it to that mark

I drove the caprice yesterday and was amazed on the power it had for sure it had more torque then my truck and I notced another thing the gas peddel was alot stiffer then the one on my truck why is that?? im guessing its some sort way to save gas????
