Re: Why do under age people drink and smoke?

Smoke, Drink, do whatever, Enjoy Life..

Anyone saying otherwise is harshening the mellow, and is being a nark...

p.s
as a rule of thumb. ban something and it will become more desirable..

Re: Why do under age people drink and smoke?

heh, i used to drink, still do, but i used to smoke and do a hand full of other drugs, i also hung out wiht poeple 2-7+ years older that me, i still do. Basically i started drinking and smoking because it was somthing to do, when your i was in my little group of friends i felt accepted, as at home no ones ever around and by being with my friends i felt like there was actual people around that cared for me. Drugs are fun and amazing, but they arn't healthy, unfortantly i learned that the hard way, if u don't agree with what your friends are doing, talk to them about it, but to be honest, it most likely wont do anything. It didn't do anything for me, or any of my other friends atleast, i would say let them get caught, after that they will begin to realize alot. but thats just a personal oppinion, i went to intensive in-patiant rehab(IIP), and about to get out of my intensive out patiant rehab(IOP) which is great, i was in IIP for 1 month, and been in IOP for 8 months, and at 9 months i get out of it! Tell you friend to go to a Narcotics anonymous meeting, just to go to one, to see what its all about, they may think your crazy, but if u can actually convice them to go to one, you will see the older people and how fucked up they are and this could greatly help them make their discisions on what they do, because trustme, after seeing how some of the other poeple are, it completely changed my outlook on drugs, i mean i still like them and all, and i love to smoke, i love the taste of smoke, i love the smell of it, i love the way it looks in the air, i love every damn aspect of it, but it kills your lunges, alters your brain, and creates chemical imbalances which make you moody, lazy, and alot of other shit, sorry for writing a novel, but thats just my 2 cents. But to be honest, just let them do it and find out the hard way, its best for them to learn their own lessons...

Yea, like DMT, and when you smoke it, like one hit, your vision goes blank, and everything starts turning into pixils(like the dots that make up your graffix on your computer) just alot larger pixils, kinda like classic mario world, and then its kinda like traveling through space at lightspeed, its great! but unfortantly you can die from it... but eh, pesticides are still abused... just thought i would point this out, even though its a "smart ass" comment, its still true and still abused by people.

The logic is simple enough. Like alcohol being banned in the old days, didnt stop people from wanting and in turn smuggling/getting their hands on it. Same thing with kids, you tell a kid his whole life "you cant do this" and lay all these restrictions and there gonna wanna now why the fuck not!.
Not generalising, but this is typical with old fashioned christian families. With a father laying down all these conservative rules and restrictions and bam whaddya know his son turns out to be a homosexual and his daughter a crack fiend.
Same thing applies with alcohol and age limitations. Like in Europe where you can go out to clubs, etc at the age of 16-17 but in America you have to wait till your 21.

Nice first post, sir.

Not a good idea to bring back old threads, especially ones that are more than a year dead.

Re: Why do under age people drink and smoke?

had I found this thread earlier I would have read it all, but i cant make myself read all 7 pages before I respond. So I'll just kick in my .

When I was just a young lad at the age of 15 I felt EXACTLY.... EXACTLY, to the T, the way you do. I had friends who occasionally smoked weed and when I heard them talk about it I was sooooo disappointed in them, and also sad for them. I still would feel that way if I was 15 again. But now I'm older, and I understand the rules of life. Life says, follow the rules, or at least don't get caught. The way to not get caught is to practice your bad habits with moderation and common sense. A 15 year old has no self control or common sense, (once they start experimenting in drugs) Those damn things are controlling. I smoke weed, and I drink alcohol on a regular basis. Alcohol has no effect on my life. Weed affects my life. If it was any worse I would quit. I'd like to quit, because I don't like the side efects, but I am somewhat addicted, which makes me rationalize, and I don't think it's worth the effort at this point in my life. It's all about the path you choose to take, which is why high schoolers shouldn't be involved with all of this. At that age you have no idea where you are going with your life, and also, the drugs have a bigger impact on your life at that time.

That's my stance on drugs and alcohol. To answer your question about WHY:

Bad parenting. That's all there is to it. At your age I knew that I wasn't interested in trying drugs, or hanging out with people who tried to convince me to. The reason is because my parents taught me against it. And I'm thankful of that. Also, I'll tell you what, if I was doing drugs in high school my parents would have known. And they would have straightened me out REAL FUCKIN QUICK. The parents who don't care to teach their kids not to do drugs are the same parents who choose not to pay attention to their child's extra curricular activities. Like smoking weed and getting drunk. So these kids have no problem doing what they do, and they get addicted. AND they're too young to wise up. That's why. The best thing you can do for them is not socially acceptable for your age group, and it may get your ass beat.
