The church, which is not affiliated with a larger denomination, is made up mostly of Phelps’ children, grandchildren and in-laws.

Anybody who believes that is F'N INSANE!!! That is the STUPIDEST MOST IDIOTIC AND ILLOGICAL thing one could possibly dream up! The guy has done way too much crack, and he obviously reads from a bible that he wrote himself, and that bears little relation to the Bible most christians read.
I mean okay, so christians don't like gays - but this goes way beyond that, this guy's just pulling stuff out of his ass an excuse to act like an ass. Also how he came to the conclusion that the U.S. harbors gays any more than any other country is beyond me. NO LOGIC AT ALL.

you should read the justification on his website. its sick. he picks out little bits and pieces of verses, translates them however he wants, then interprets them however he wants, and sets it down as domatic law.

Unfortunately, this is what a free country is all about, everyone having the right to voice their own opinion whether we agree with it or not that is their opinion and not the opinion of the masses.

It was also stupid for these few religious zelots to try to make their point at the funeral of two of America's heros. These men gave their full measure of devotion to a country that has often times looked upon differences among people, both in skin color, sex and yes even religion as a way to justify policy. But they were willing to fight to protect what they believed in, FREEDOM!

Bigotry is always counter productive just ask the KKK or the White Supremacy Groups who are not only banned from most areas but are looked upon as fools.

I for one am very proud of these two fine Americans who allow me the opportunity to lay my head down each night knowing that they and many more like them are there to protect the freedoms that so many have died to protect. May God watch over their families and their souls!!!

Churches...like the Southern Baptists and Assembly of God churches are as much to blame as the out of the closet fag churches...Why? This guy claims to be a pastor and I can find some verses in under a few minutes that proove his whole idea wrong. Sad.

I found several more but those two stuck out to me. Even the book this "pastor" says he reads from is against his teachings. I guess he skipped over these parts.
