exhuast

or atleast I think its the exhuast, it makes a rattle. sounds like metal is scaping against each other or something. i let the car run while i look for the sound and it sounded close to the tail pipe and muffler. does anyone know what it is and how to fix it?

Re: exhuast

Sounds like the muffler has a loose baffle. Happens all the time. No need to fix it unless it bothers you.

Re: exhuast

I second that. If it's coming from closer to the cat, it could also possibly be a chunk broken loose inside of your cat. But like curtis said, it's most likely a loose baffle.

Re: exhuast

Crawl underneath your car and pound on the muffler and catalytic converter with your hand. If it rattles when you hit it, you found your problem.
