also could it be a short from the battery to the pcm that could be causing the misfire. I heard that sometimes battery acid corrodes (spelling lol) the wires

Only way to tell would be to pull out the battery and check all the wires for corroding.

ok going to get them today i do know that looking though my book they gave me the wrong gap number too. they said .035 but in auto book says .050. dont know if can get same wires here that you have just have auto zone or advanced auto

thanks alot going to try that and will be back and let you know. of course i drove for 2 hours today and didnt do anything but i will try and see and drive it some more to see if that helps

0.035 is the correct gap. You shouldn't have to change the gap much, if at all. The wires from Autozone should suit you fine, I got the Magnecor wires, because they are guaranteed. You can order them from www.modernperformance.com. I think they close at 5 today and 4:00PM central time tomorrow.

hey just want to say thanks for the help. replaced plugs and wires, checked coil pack for cracks, put it all back together but not sure if still have the problem will see soon havent drove long distance for awhile. thanks again

Did you reset the PCM? If not, then see if the code comes back again.
