Especially when you got 30 kids that have bought all of the roman candles in nearly all the firework stands in town.

Exclamation Re:

Dont listen to any of these guys. I have been modifying these picilo petes all my life. Take a set of channel lock pliars. Sqeuze the firework in the MIDDLE of it. Light and enjoy the explosion as soon as it hits the ceter of the picilo pete. Pretty fun shit. And the reason I do these thing is cause I am stupid enough and just care about having fun. Yes I probly will look back on it and think I was stupid but i dont care.

compressing? no.
when you hammer a piccolo pete, you are not compressing it so it explodes. you are loosening the packed powder so that you form an air pocket. when you have an air pocket, it lets the powder burn faster and in more places building up pressure--explosion.

best way to make it explode is to beat the hell out of the thing with a hammer at the bottom. (the bottom 1/3 is good) its really fun to hammer it at both the top and bottom. dont hammer too much though when you do it and you can make it explode twice. its funny to see it go EEEEE boom EEEEE BOOOM.

also, use a block of wood to hammer it on. if you miss and hit concrete with a steel hammer, it could spark. i serisously doubt it would be enough to catch the thing, but hey, lets not take any chances?

also, the soda bottle thing is fun. take all the powder out of a piccolo pete, put it in a bit of saran wrap, put it in a bottle, light it. put the saran wrap in the neck of the bottle and put the powder in there. screw the lid on over it. poke a hole in the cap, put the fuse from the piccolo pete in it, light fuse and run. its a pretty small explosion but quite loud because of the bottle.
have fun and most of all, be safe!

Re: Modifying fireworks

i love blow-stuff-up day. in cali i can only get "safe and sane" fireworks and im too lazy to drive out of state this year. just piccolo pete hammering for me this year. lemons (and any other fruit i imagine-we have a lemon tree so they're free) blow up great. sent chunks of lemon everywhere. we also have a snail problem. so we stuck a few snails to the side of a piccolo pete and now there are entrails all over our shed. now THAT's pesticide--who needs snail-b-gone?

Re: Modifying fireworks

The Tasmanian Devil type fireworks. The ones that spin and shoot colors out of each side, if you stomp on them right before the go out they will explode. but not enough to burn you or hurt you its just a loud POW and a bright flash of colors!!

I need some fun ideas to do with bottle rockets and those little Popper Balls. Thats pretty much all I got left. Got a few smoke bombs too if that helps.

Bottle rocket wars.
1. Light up cigarette/cigar/doobie
2. Pick up bottle rocket
3. Light bottle rocket with smoke of choice
4. Just before bottle rocket lights throw bottle rocket at friend/enemy/neighbors cat
If you timed it right it will go shooting off straight for whatever you are trying to hit. However your first few times you will probably get a few going random directions and if your lucky you will hit yourself a few times, thats why its more fun if your drunk.

Smoke bombs, public places, public bathrooms would be better. Ive always wanted to light one in my car while at a red light beside a cop car and ask him if he wants a hit...

pop-pops/snappers,

The little paper balls that have flint/powder inside that kids always throw at eachother....

anyway take several full packs
remove all the sawdust so all you have is the poppers
carefully open each one and put the little rocks on/in foil, better to do this outside and with a helper, if you empty the contents too quickly it makes a deafening pop

if you have 3 or more boxes done like this it makes a pretty good bang (compared to the normal poppers)

WEAK...

blackcat sells the 1,000 shot rolls for like $10

OOOOOOOO.... but I saw a 10,000 shot roll looks like a giant blackcat with a rope for a fuse,

that would be going off for like 10 minutes...

Re: Modifying fireworks

That roll you got there from france has a hell of a lot more than 2,000 in it. Prolly like 10,000. You wanna see something really impresive, check this out. http://www.fireworks.com/fireworks_g...oto.asp?pid=52

16,000 firecrackers. Takes about 45min to go off and your neighbors WILL call the cops on you. Peace-

There was a chemical company that advertised in the classified section of popular science(or mechanics) that sold all of the ingredients to make professional fireworks. was a couple of years ago when I checked them out so they might not still be in buisness, but you don't need any sort of license to order from them and they ship to the 38 states. Be carefull though if ordering from them. I sure as shit wouldn't want ATF and FBI breaking down my door for some stupid shit to make fireworks out of. Peace-
