no, its for my second gen motor, but he charges the same amount for any rotary rebuild. and i removed the engine myself (and took it apart myself too), so i dont know what he would charge for that. you could just send your car to him, dont know how much that would cost either. i belive that the housings get replaced if they are badly scratched.

FDTT, i've been wondering about v-mounting the intercooler lately. doesnt the intercooler go on the top and the radiator on bottom? i just picked up the latest rx7 hyper rev book and they have a diagram showing the positioning of the intercooler and radiator; the i/c was on top and the rad on the bottom, with the e-fans behind the rad. but i thought if it was the other way around it would make the radiator easier to service. so why did you do yours that way.

ya fdtt, ur shit is off the hook! and ya, under 100k was a little extreme, but if u took any of those cars and there price, added the difference to modifying an rx, it would beat every one of em. plus the 50-/50 weight ratio and light weight makes hadling a dream. sorry i am a little biased, but there is just something amazing about driving an fd, and a fc. especially after a few mods. my mom drives a 01 vette, dad a srt-4, and i work at a auto dealer and drive all kinds of cars, so im not judging without knowing what other cars drive like.

i reasereched a few of those cars, i think your pretty much right modificationwise... but i dont think you have seen a 600hp built evo take off and just leave you. I saw a viper get embarassed, straight killed.
And one thing ive learned abou supras is lets say you race some guy hm lets say a lambo diablo ^^, and you see him on the highway and you both doing 50mph, when you both decide to go, it looks like a decent match..... but after 110,130,even 140, your cruising top speed and that supra is still eccelerating. If you dont belive me please try for yourself, no car, i mean, (no common or slightly common) car can keep up, no way. Why they stopped production? fear of taking off into space. This is funny when you read it but not funny when a 50k supra HUMILIATES a 350k lambo.


btw, i saw a (video) of a 93 rx with a V8 ls or lt1 engine in it, a low 9 second car. Jesus lord allmighty. And it looked lke a normal street car, no huge tires or drag accesories, straight massacred an 02 vette. If you boys can hook me up with one of those, ha ha, CHECK PLEASE. ill take 2

Numbers, well on the turbo im running now im looking at around 450-500whp on moderate boosts, and around 650-700 on high boost.

My FC is undergoing some crazy stuff right now too. Just building up a 20BT to go in her :P Should be fun.

I have built my V mount this way because it was easier for me to do it this way and took up much less space. With a top mounted IC on a V mount setup you need to make a enclosed space for the IC and have a fully vented hood. With the sngle that im running the IC at i shodul be able to acheive the same effect with a vented undertray as well as a water spray kit to cool the air charge further.
If i dont like that setup ill do a full on enclosed V mount like you generaly see with the "JDM" cars :P

ha, im only 17, i got lets say 15 grand (not my mommas money either ^^) evo is not in my league.

and fdtt by numbers i meant 0-60 1/4 as well, to me hp is 3rd rank out of those 3 numbers

but as for your hp lord help you. your in a rocket man. let me guess your car is like 2500-2900 lbs... hm. tell me if im right on this (your high psi setup im trying to guess at)
0-60 3.8
1/4 10.9

also:evo and an nsx will go down every time (from my experience) and i doubt i vr4 is faster either. sorry bro i get defensive if u say our car is slower than neons and crap, and for gods sake the mustang? u crossed the line man! dont listen to the numbers, i have driven a lot of these other cars, yea im biased but they really arent as fast. cars that are faster that i know. fuck those new gto`s...omg. thats just one that stands out.

I hate to burst your bubble, but all the mentioned cars with the exception of the neon cna beat the RX7 according to tested times. Also, the majority of the mentioned cars are only a few years old if not brand new, and the RX7's are at youngest 10 years old. So that will not improe the RX7's time.

Stock for stock every car that you said cant beat or match the RX7 does. I searched, found the answers.

PS the EVO lays waste to the 7 (stock for stock) 4.30-60 and 12.90 1/4mile for the RS. This is on an EVO 8.

RX7's are great cars, HUGE potnetial. But there are better cars out there for cheaper right out of the box. Modded, an RX7 is hard to catch. I should know i make my living fixing/building up these cars.
