Nissan Sentra 95 Spark Plugs

Hi guys, I have a question.
I recently got a Nissan Sentra 95, but the engine is model 97 with 70k miles.
I would like to install perfomance parts just to increase a little bit power.
I was thinking about getting new spark plugs but I don't which ones are better.
I bought BOSCH Platinum 4+, It really works good but maybe you do know ones that are better.
I also am looking to install Performance wires, do you think that will improve more?

I also am looking for saving gas

Thank you

P.S.- This message board is wonderful

Haha, damn straight. Put some NGK Iridiums in that thing and any performance wires should be fine, such as Magnacor or MSD. You also might wanna look into a grounding kit. It'll help your idle and give a few extra horses.

Hey buddy. What exactly is a grounding kit?

Will my spark plugs and wires save me a little bit gas or it's gonna burn more?

plugs and wires will save gas because combustion will be more complete thus requiring less fuel for same horsepower, however like any performance mod such as intake, it only saves gas if you keep your foot out of it

A grounding kit is a kit of gauged wires made specifically for your engine. They connect to certain parts of your engine to stabalize the electrical currents all over your car and just help everything run a bit more smoothly. It'll only give you maybe 1-3hp, but it will smooth out your idle.

Normally I agree with everything you say fugiot, but I have to disagree with the gain of 1-3 horsepower. I would say you might gain 1HP on a good day, but thats the best. I would say the smoother idle, and a slight gain in gas mileage are the best you can hope for with a grounding kit. And I would not buy a custom ground kit unless you want it to look nice. Instead just go to Radio Shack and have them cut you about 10 feet of 4 gauge wire, and look online for the grounding points, if you google it, I'm sure you will find them, and do it yourself for less than 10 bucks.

Oh I just remembered you have a SR20DE fugiot, maybe you get better gains from the kit than a GA16DE, but on a GA16DE it's gonna be so small it probably wouldn't show up on a dyno.

yeah, 1-3hp is just what I've heard. If I were to ground my car, I'd do it for the idle.
