Yeah, but I'm never the driver. I've gone with unite@af and another friend (in a chevy citation). Great fun.

Hello fellas,

I love driving dirt roads. I'm from the mid-south, what some might call the stix, so there is lots of gravel around here. My family used to live down a dirt road and my dad taught my brother and me how to play Dukes of Hazzard in our old trucks. My dad and I both had '72 Chevy long beds with stout small blocks. His was about 450 hp and mine was about 350hp. Both had lockers in the rear ends for positraction. Dad still has his and it's still lots of fun. I don't know how many times I've ended up in the ditch.

Idelaysionl,

I noticed on your location you're from Arkansas. Where at? I'm in the same region. Do you run rallies anywhere locally? I'm dying to get into it, but everything I've seen is so far away from us.

kidracer im in paris arkansas about an hour from ft smith, ar. where are u at? the scca has rallies divided into 2 types, road rally and performance rally. performance rally is the balls out action u see on tv, but unfortunately its uncommon to find one of those around here. occasionally there are road rally events, and while fun and a lot safer, theyre just not as exciting. but thats probably good cuz im kinda afraid to go all out in my new car in a performance rally, cuz while i have about the perfect car for it, i dont wanna wreck it! i gotta get me a 3rd car, a rally beater...

but for the most part around here theres only drag racing and scca autocross as far as sanctioned events go. u should come to an autocross if u wanna get into real racing, its a lot of fun i promise u! u dont even have to be an scca member, its like $20 per car u wanna register for non members. the next one for the arkansas scca chapter is march 3rd at north little rock airport, u can get info at www.arscca.org or use www.scca.org to see if theres a chapter closer to u.

Hey,
That sounds really cool. I'm in Conway, about 20 minutes north of Little Rock. I go to UCA. I drive through Ft.Smith all the time going back home to Okla. I used to work with some hardcore Corvette guys from the Fort. I'll try to make it to the March 3rd event. Do you ever go to the drag strip by Russelville? Some friends and I are supposed to go on Feb. 24th. There are supposed to be some really fast imports there that day. They're having an import shootout or something, but the Little Rock racing club is going to be there and they are talking about getting their Supras to run in the 8s. I'm also looking around for a beater car. I don't think it'll be too hard to find one around here for cheap. What kind are you looking for. I'd like to find something like an old rx7, something that's at least rear wheel drive. I'd really like an AWD, but I'm not sure how likely it is that I'll find one. Front-drive is okay, but for really fun driving you gotta get a rear-wheel to sling the tail out sideways. We should meet up sometime and talk. One last question, what does your name mean(idelaysionl)?

kidracer myself and a group of imports from ft smith are gonna be at centerville dragway on the 24th. maybe ill see u there. one of my guys is talkin about bringing his girlfriends supra, and it SHOULD hit 8s, possibly 7s. i used to go there all the time, ive even got a "canterville dragway street imports class 1st place" trophy, but this weekend sounds like theres gonna be too fast cars there for me to get another one. i stopped going when they shut down on saturday nights cuz of winter but now theyre opening back up ill prob be there a lot more. i dunno if im gonna be at the march 3rd autocross now cuz i might be in florida that weekend, havent decided if im going or not yet, but if i dont go ill be at the autocross.

and delaysion is the name of a song by pressure 4-5, i put the l's on the outside of all my screen names cuz nobody else ever does that so i get whatever name i want its not already taken.

We took my friends 79 LTD rallying one time. Not much strategy, just build up speed and plow through the water and hope you make it to the other side that was a blast. i could feel the ground running across the floor of the car with my feet.

Used to do it alot. There are some private roads near my friends camp and we used to go out and buy a car each, something that would run and drive and just bag the $hit out of it. I did it a few times in my old 323 as well before I modded it, but my friend doesnt have the camp anymore, and I cant do any rally with the car I have now.
