Re: gas disappearing!

as always... o2 sensor. it's probably dead and you're running rich. it won't cost you all that much either... plus it's an easy replace.

Re: Re: gas disappearing!

First of all, what engine do you have, and second, is there any fuel on top of the engine(under the injectors), or does it smell like fuel anywhere? I cracked two or three injectors, and there was fuel all over the engine, and I was lucky the thing didn't blow, because it happend when I was autocrossing it!!! I had to replace all four injectors, and the seals. Also, you said the filter was black, how did you see the inside? Just curious. Is the air filter good? Spark plugs?

Re: gas disappearing!

well wellafter i changed my oil today i decided to look furthur into it. it turns out that one of the olines wasnt tightened enough and was just letting fuel drain out of it. ill probably go and replace the lines in a couple of days cause there atre small cracks in some of them. thanks alot guys!

Re: gas disappearing!

There are universal ones for really cheap and there's a model specific one that's more expensive.

That same friend said DON'T USE BOSCH!! He already has gone through two of them, and still had problems. I'll have to ask what one he runs now, but it fixed his problem, far as I know.

Re: gas disappearing!

Never use Bosch for anything. Their plugs are complete shit, eveything they make is supposed to be high quality, but its all high shit. Complete garbage. You should see all nthe problems we had in the shop from ppl bringing in Bocsh products, its rediculous.

Yep! My girlfriends mazda had this problem where it would just not accelerate until you were over like 4000 rpm's (almost like turbo lag, but on a NA!) and her dumb ass mechanic was throwing all these parts at it. The problem was solved when she went to the Mazda dealer. Bosch plugs. That was the problem. She spent like $800 because her dad wanted her to take it to this asian mechanic, who can't fix anything. He put BASIC plugs in, and charged her for platinums!! All they had to do was put in NGK's, and the problem was solved. SCREW BOSCH!! THEY SUCK A$$!!

Re: gas disappearing!

Im in too! Bosch sucks. Got a new starter cuz my old one would start when it wanted to, well guess what, same shit with this one. At least my original waited 160,000 miles to start messing up.
