Re: Chexmixa's new "Whip"

did I say 300whp with 100K+ miles? read i said 225-240 whp with 100+k. Sure you can get 300whp, no doubt it won't last but 50k miles but you can get 225-240whp and still have reliability and a long lasting motor.

Don't underestimate the zetec, seems as though you are.

I think you may be over estimateing the Zetec. it lacks torque, not much revs outa it. I can make just as much power if not more with a duratech. but why the hell are we argueing over economy car motors....

Re: Chexmixa's new "Whip"

hes deff not talking to me, my car modded would be lucky to see 15s.. Zetec doenst lack that much torque, my zetec actually makes more torque then it does horsepower.

Not arguing, but the zetec is a very good motor, many built up to 500-600whp. Of course the duratec will produce more power. But I was just sticking up for the zetec because I know what it can do. I don't know too much about the duratec yet, except the duratec V6 that came in the Contours.

What about a Supercharger Chex? I saw on Super Tunner TV they put a Vortec supercharger into a Focus and it was on stock internals, supposed to be very reliable

The duratec has very weak rods . Someone did a home made turbo kit on thier 2.3 Duratec and they bent 7 of the 16 rods with 7 psi.

Re: Chexmixa's new "Whip"

Musashi, I'm postive the motor they put that on was a zetec, stronger motor stock. And if I remember, there is no means of FI for the Duratec so far.
