Chexmixa's new "Whip"

So thats meh new ride, 2005 Ford Focus Zx4 ST
Payed 18 flat out the door with extended warrenty, 6-disk changer, and Leather.

ST is rated at 151 Hp and 153 Ft/lbs, 0-60 7.7 1/4 15.8

It shares alot of the Focus Svt Suspension bits and the only thing stopping it from handleing as well is that POS tires that are on there. They are some perelli P6's, can bearly get any stick with those. Its real easy to get the back end out with those tires.

Haven't raced anyone yet and don't plan on it until i get some miles on the motor. I think its right around the Honda Civic Si and Scion TC for performance. The Transmission in there is really nice. The gears are ultra short. 1st goes to 25, 2nd to 40, 3rd to 60, 4th to ... not quite sure yet i haven't revved it all the way out, but my guess is 90-100mph. The only drawback to the car i can find so far is the tack doesn't have a lil redline marker, so i have to kind of guess what the readline of the car is.

Overal i like the car alot. I wasn't expecting it to be very quick but its not bad, its surprised me. This car is mainly to have something i can mod out a lil and make it faster while maintaining low insurance premiums. because of my accident my insurance will go way up.

Future mods will be

Cosworth Stage 1 (good for about 25-30 HP; · Cold air induction kit, Cast alloy intake manifold ,ECU return envelope)
http://www.cosworth.com/

Stiffer springs

Better tires

Bigger rims, prolly Euro SVT rims. (17x7)

Looken to make this car a corner carver with a lil bit of umph. It has to last me through college, Length of the lone is 4 years so i should be able to pay it off pretty quick.

She's not rocketship... but... I bet it's comfortable... and has A/C... Radio... a Heater... a Defroster... and gets good gas milege.

Things the Z lacks.

I envy you sir. Truely I do.

Oh chex. NOOOO!! You have disappointed me.

Just kidding. Congrats on the new ride. The interior looks really good. I like the styling on the inside. Any mods you are looking forward to as of yet? Just curious. You know you can't stay stock for more than a few weeks .

In the next week or so i am gunna be ordering my magnaflow catback exhaust. Then after that i'll get a new set of wheels + stiffer springs, and to finish her of i will get cosworth stage 1.

Civ, now that i have shown you mine its time for you to show me yours, c'mon lets see the freshly swapped civ.

Edit: does this mean i qualify for natural aspirations?

The tires have hardly any grip, and with the nice lil suspension it has on there you can throw your back end around on corners.

Re: Chexmixa's new "Whip"

nice car, but man the irony in this is so damn funny. You always talked crap about my econobox cavalier that came with a weak stock 150HP and ran high 15's stock. Now you have the exact same thing just with a ford name on it.

lol its funny, i aint making fun of your car, just the irony of the situation. Good luck with the car man.
