MSM Creation 1/24 Ferrari F40-LM transkit

Hi

Does anyone here own this? If so please can you tell me how accurate it is and how thick the body is compared to the Tamiya body that it replaces. Please can you also post photos other than the ones on MSMs website if possible.

Thanks,

Matt.

dunno if this helps much, but i've got thier modena challenge stradale transkit and the body panels that come with it are comparable to the thickness of tamiyas work...good quality stuff too.

Here you go.

The only part that disappoints me is the inside of the body. It probably won't be seen when the model is finished, but it could look better. Overall it is comperable to the plastic, but you will have to do a lot of cutting and trimming with a dremel. I feel though that it is better than the Studio27 kits that represent the same year.

Re: MSM Creation 1/24 Ferrari F40-LM transkit

Hmm it looks thicker from the photos and it's rather a mess under the bonnet. It's probably a better idea for me to try and make the modifications to the Tamiya kit and save myself the best part of £50. Especially as I would like to make it with a detailed front end.

Thanks for the photos BTW.

or if you want, you can get the Fihimi 1/16 kit, which is quite good and sell for less than 70$

Re: MSM Creation 1/24 Ferrari F40-LM transkit

The Fujimi kit looks pretty poor from what I've seen of it and besides I want 1/24 scale.

It's inaccurate, even by Fujimi's standards.

I got 1 Igol F40 tk from msm too and I'm also totally disappointed on the inside. You got to use dremel tool to clean it to fit with Tamiya window... The msm F40 is totally different from the 2 tk that they released before (360 challenge and Stradale), those are very good, but not this F40. The wheel is actually cast from Fujimi SuperGT series model...that is really disappointing.
ST27 is a full curbside resin kit, and it is very good but also expensive.
