Paint removal

I screwed up when I first painted my 206 WRC. I used grey primer, and then white Tamiya paint.
Then, after a LONG time I finally sanded down the areas to paint it again, but the white paint is baaad, doesn't cover well, have to spray a lot to cover it ++

Then, I tought about NOT painting the bottom line of the car, since the body is molded in white plastic, but just cover it with clear coat.

So, I have the body with a bad white line on the bottom, and the tought of sanding it down again is killing me.
Isn't there an easy way to remove the paint? Like a paint remove-chemical-thing? That wouldn't damage the plastic?

Go to your local grocery store, get a bottle of 99% isopropyl alcohol, put it in a covered container large enough for the body, and let it soak for a couple of days. Scrub it with an old toothbrush, if necissary. It will safely remove Tamiya laquers and acrylics (and the primer, too), and won't hurt the plastic.

Haven't got 99% alcohol yet, but, can i use Thinner instead? Or will it destroy the plastic?

Use break fluid instead. Don´t have to let it soak days - just overnight works perfectly with tamiya paint.

Yah im using Dot3 brake fluid right now. Its working great. If i were you i would go with the brake fluid. Just let it soak in a bowl or something overnight.

No, don't use thinner, it will attack the plastic. Brake fluid does work but why use a more toxic substance if you don't have to? Isopropyl works just as well, and you don't have to find a safe way to dispose of it afterwards.
