yeah a ws-6 with 320+hp stock versus a 232hp turbocharged supra, yeah the trans-am will win..but hey that's like alot of years apart, but put a MKIV TT against that Ws-6, now where talking..Supra will win.

Hmm
is that directed to the Supra owner? because he most likely beat the V6 FireTurd, and could most likely take a V8 (305) and with maybe 2k in mods he would beat a 350 too.

stock for stock, money is on the ws6

and as for the 98 v6 firebird, are there any mods done to it?
a few mods and n2o, i've seen them go hi hi 12's and low 13's

and as for ALL v6 firebirds being turds, it was one of the fastest, if not the, production car sold in the US in the 1980's.
its called a 1989 t/a w/turbo 3.8 buick v6- just over 1500 were built

That's apples and oranges my freind, if you wanna compare like that then there was a "Turbo A" Supra made from 87-89, only 500 produced, and i gaurantee it'll smoke the pants off any firebird. Granted it was never imported to the states, but the T/A was never experted to japan either.

gimme a 1998 Formula 1LE w/6 spd
i think you might be suprised

not to start more shit, but if i could any car NOT built for the USDM in the 80's
gimme a 1985 Ford RS200 Evolution from Germany
600hp+ turbo cosworth 1.8, 4wd, and 10.9 quarters on tarmac

Good to hear you know alittle about the turbo A, anyway we've both gotten pretty off-topic here with our limited production cars Huh, i don't know why i even replied to this whole thread, too much speculation and here-say and not enough hard evidence for my taste.

same here
just bored i guess
or maybe i can't stand how some ask such broad, indecice questions and expect perfect answers. there are so many variables that people don't factor in. all i can say is that people should do alot more research before they ask stupid questions.

Re: MKIII Supra Turbo VS 98 V6 Firebird?

dam... i dont know why people are comparing the mk3 supra to upper generations or other cars... upper generation should be compared with another upper generations aswell...

for the guy that said that transam will distroy a supra you gatta thing about its cost... put that dam transam agains my supra and ill distroy it with my mere 2k mods...so all together my supra ONLY cost me 3500... and how much does the transam cost??? thats what i thought...

btw to the guy that started this thread... you going the wrong way bro... shimming the wasgate and running 10 psi aint the way to go... you wanna make power get rid of that dam restrictive elbow and eliminate both cat... then youll see power...

and for the gsx comment... they aint nothing... they may have the advantage at take off but the supra has it after that...

even my mk4 buddy gets scared when my turbo spools up...(60 trim upgraded)

and rx7 is also a joke... if you know what your talking about you know that rx7 will EAT dust at straightaways...

Re: MKIII Supra Turbo VS 98 V6 Firebird?

Probably the MKIII Supra against the Firebird V6 mainly for the advantage of Turbo (if it didn't have turbo, it would have been smoked). These Jap sports cars rely on air to gain power. However, becoz I ve only been on my bro's MKIV Supra, I am not sure abt the earlier models.
