How long in America?

How long has the Lancer been sold in North America? Specifically the U.S.? And what versions were sold for those years? Thanks in advance.

Re: How long in America?

from '02-'03 they sold the ES, LS, and OZ Rally edition (120 hp 2.0L)
in '04 and '05 they added the Evo 8 (280 hp)and Ralliart (160 hp)

in earlier years they sold the mitsubishi mirage, which was just the lancer by another name, but the only engines you could get were an assortment of underpowered 1.5L's and 1.8L's

Re: How long in America?

I believe they started selling the Mirage in the US around '90 or '91, they never offered the Mirage with more than a 115hp 1.8L in the US so it was never much of a performance car.

Re: How long in America?

but they did use it as a wrc rally car i believe, i think that is where the first evolutions came from??? so if you did have a mirage there may have been some performance parts for it, or if you had one now you could probably find performance parts for it.
