How much are the 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 934 and 935 worth ?

Store price and E-bay price ?

Will they get much pricier over the years ?

Thanks

both kit are the same, except for the Boby. Very nice kit.

Re: 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 934 and 935 price ?

I think 89.99 for the 935 is the MSRP. Actual price you can get is as low as $69.99 or so on eBay. Average retail in a store so far has been around $74 from what I have seen which when you consider the complexity and quality of the kit is an absolute steal. I 'stole' 2 for $60.00 each from a trade show a few weeks back (will build one as the red Hawaian Tropic car).
934's still go for over $100.00, but how long before they re-release that? I don't think you will ever see the prices go as high on this to make it worth stockpiling, you may double your money in 5 years I guess. This kit is too good and will remain too popular a choice for modellers over time IMHO.

Just my 0.02

True, but watch out on ebay. Those a 69$ are often in Japan, and shipping cost over 40$, while you can get it at 79$ with 20$ shipping

Lowest priced doesn't mean the best deal

Received mine a fortnight ago - the box is HUGE! At least twice the size of the regular 1/12th F1 kits. What a kit - so much detail as standard. With a bit of creative detailing this will be a museum piece!

Re: 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 934 and 935 price ?

just bought the 934 and 935 from ebay, both originaly schrink wrapped. And from one seller so he can combine the shipping.

If you would buy the kits in belgium they charge

189 euro for the 934 and 169 for the 935 as seen on

And what about the price for the caterhams ?

Retail price is 333$usd. Most of the store sell it for 250$-299$us

I got the JPE for 170$ + 20$shipping from Ebay. Usually it's 199$us + 40$ shipping

The Circle Fenders / carbon is quite hard to find yes. (I have seen one on ebay selling for 400$usd)

I have both kit (Caterham and Porsche) and the Porsche is a better deal.

Re: 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 934 and 935 price ?

Just bought the jpe and the bdr (not carbon)

BDR 149.99 $
JPE 189.00 $

- 10$ for buying 2 kits
-10 $ for combined shipping

These 1/12 kits are great investments

I have both kits and there are differences besides the body. There are different wheels (934 has treaded tires and BBS rear wheels, 935 has slicks and five spoke rear wheels) and interior details (934 has two seats, 935 has one).
