Well we took it all apart yesterday and it does have 20splins on the trany so i guess it's an 88. Now I will have to find an 88 flywheel.

The Flywheel Is identical, the only difference is the Clutch Disk. as was pointed out the 88 have 21 splines the 89-91 have 20.
the pressure plate and Flywheels are the same from 88-91. So in conclusion you need a D-series flywheel (88-00) a D-series Pressure Plate (88-00), 89-91 Clutch Disk (90-91 is slightly larger) and the other hardware (through out bearing and pilot bearing)
