Re: What 5.25" speaker? *pics*
as for mounting a different shaped speaker in the hole....check out my "bow down to thy matter, bitches" thread...i mounted my 6.5's in a 6x9 hole...should be similar.
in your other thread, you asked about where to get RE's (i belevie that is what you ment) because they wheren't on visionary. Call RE, they will send them to you direct or call visionary or any other RE dealer in the US and they can get them to you. |

Re: What 5.25" speaker? *pics*
Well, talked to Don (the CDT supplier), and he doesn't have any cl-5x's at the moment. He has a "ef-51i 1" silk tweeters 560 xover fully loaded ef set" for $150 though. Are those any good, and can I use them without an amp for now?
edit... did some research and found they go for $380 for one place... Needless to say, I sent an email asking how to pay, so I think I'm getting them. In a few months I'll get a 4 channel amp to power them and the pioneer coaxials in the back. Do you think I'll need to rewire the stock stuff, or will it be ok to just connect them to where the head unit is connected now? Last edited by Diceman83; 04-11-2005 at 07:01 PM. |

Re: What 5.25" speaker? *pics*
Thanks NG... I'd like to see how it sounds with the "enclosure" for now. Closer inspection shows a round hole that will take any 5-1/4" driver up to like 2.5" deep. It sounded way better than you'd think it would, especially for stock.
