B20 with a B16 tranny would be a bit faster I would think, but with my B16 tranny it revs at 5,000rpm @ 80mph. I drive about 30 minutes at 80mph constant both to, and from work so I want something thats okay with keeping constant revs like that.

I'm not saying the B20 might not handle it, but I don't know as though I'd want to be driving that close to redline for extended periods of time.
I used to worry about the same thing. But it's been almost 9 months of driving on the B20 with more than hundreds of races under it's belt both draggin' and on the h'way. I haven't come up with problems yet. It does suck tho to be pinnin' 5th gear at 125-130 at 6500 rpms with the y1 tranny and b20b. That's the only downfall of that combination. It does however get up to 120 really quick tho. Same story as the B18a/b...the rods don't like to be revved past 7k rpm for any extended period of time.
But I'm assuming with the lower 8.8 compression ratio of the B20b, it can handle it a little better. I've kept my car at 130mph (and maybe more because tach stops at 125 @ 6k in fifth gear) for over a minute before.

Re: motor poll

Siz, I fixed that on my car, I have a S1 Hybrid Transmission, JDM S1 gears 1 thru 4 and a USDM S1 (LS) 5th, now I can do 120km/h at 3300rpm... I also took the time and thru in a OBX LSD... works Great, best upgrade/modification I ever did to the car.

Really? Wow, I'd really love to do that when it comes time to get another tranny in my car. Was it hard work? Mmm.. LS 5th gear.
OH! And the LSD would be dope shit too. What on did you use? Is it for 90-93 teg?

Thats fun news man, that would be a super nice tranny setup.
