Once you get in the higher ho numbers, VTC get's in the way and the S13 SR has a better flowing head, like Tat said, he can get a blacktop S13 SR which will have similar miles to an S14 engine.

hmm, i never knew about the VTC problem. Why would they only have it on the intake side anyways?

Cheaper then having it on both sides and most people wouldn't know the difference, they'd be like "Hey Martha, this car has that new variable thingamajigger, that means I can drive to the grocery store twice as fast and we will never be late for church again, thank god they have it with an automatic transmission though!"

wow a lot has happened here since i went to school then to work...well i made a final decision and im gonna go with the s13 blacktop, thanks for your help guys!
