I'm certainly not going to disagree with the stock CCR beating a stock McLaren. (I guess I got into a little about a slightly modified McLaren on more-or-less McLaren's "what-if-we-do-this" test.)

And we will probably never get to know the top speed of a McLaren GT

Taping shut-lines. If a panel would rip off at those speeds, I'm sure it would be horrific. A lot of high speed runs are done this way.

That's what I was thinking also. There's probably no aerodynamic advantage to it, other than preventing high pressure air from pulling up the front cover.

There is an advantage according to EVO the 9ff got an extra 1MPH out if it...... although they may also have removed the wing mirres at that point also but i dont think so as that would liberate more than 1 MPH.... Anybody know for shore?
