Re: Re: slight drivers side rattle over bumps felt in floorboard

so where is your's making contact with the frame? I don't see a mark or anything. BlazerLT, you think thats too far back? If so, then I'm thinking about bringing it in to a front end guy thats reputable to check it out. Pretty confident its something with the front left wheel/steering.

Re: slight drivers side rattle over bumps felt in floorboard

He didn't say a front end knock he said a rattle felt through the floor board.

Josh,
How faint is the rattle? I just remembered when I first got my blazer the skid plate that covers the tranny and transfer case was loose and would rattle while idling or driving over bumpy roads, I don't remember feeling it in the floor pan though.

Re: Re: slight drivers side rattle over bumps felt in floorboard

it's only heard over hard bumps, then its rattle is noticable to me cause I'm expecting it. I can feel it on the floorboard too.
I thought/think it was coming from the front left wheel or steering somewhere. Sorry, thought I mentioned that

Mine was hitting right in there....it only makes a minute to slide under and look for a mark on the frame.

so now how does a washer in the first place stated fix a rattle where you're pointing to in the second pic?

Re: slight drivers side rattle over bumps felt in floorboard

The whole thing is supported by the place I pointed out in the first pic. There is another one just like it on the other side, the whole cross member is suspended under them. When you install the washer it increases the clearence between the point in the second and the frame, that way it doesn't hit anymore
