Re: Need Help w/ new Stereo

Well my friend, I want to say that your auto instructor is wrong. Entering the code wrong 3 times will only "lockup" your headunit, then you would have to let it sit untill it resets itself again, but if it allows you enter the code again and you have entered the right code then your headunit will work.
One problem I see and it has also been mention several posts above, you said you took out the headunit from your gst and put it in a n/t. I believe the headunit in the gst is the "premium" system right, that means it has the double din headunit connected to an amp connected to the speakers. If you moved the headunit to your n/t without the "premium" system, meaning if the headunit isn't plugged in to the amp then it'll have no power to power the speakers, and that might be the reason you can't hear anything.

Has anybody ever hear of anything like this? Any help is appreciated!

thanks for the reply wuman. hmm..... your explanation seems to be the problem exactly. So is the only fix to also transfer the "premium" part of the system to, or is there a quick fix i could do?

you can take the amp out of your gst and put it in your GS. Or get an aftermarket headunit.

Re: Need Help w/ new Stereo

I would definately go with the aftermarket head unit. You will notice an improvement and it will be nice and easy to use as well.
