So far only the AEBS 4-1 and the S&S 4-1 hang lower than the OEM. The Stillen does not hang lower as it collects before the secondary pipe. By far the AEBS is superior. It showed excellent low-end torque along with the natural high-end from a 4-1.

Hmm I really like the sound of having more low-end torque!!
(yah i got a slushbox) but I guess i'm reallly worried about having the header hang too low. Does it come down significantly lower?? like how much clearance do you have after the install compared to OEM? Thanks guys!!!

Do the HS or the STILLEN, the AEBS header hangs really low, I don't know or doubt it's power gaines, but Iv'e seen pics of the AEBS and you can see the header from underneath from in front of the car. This is potentially bad news. I have scraped my Stillen a few times pulling up to curb parking and the STILLEN can't be seen unless your in the bay or under the car. I'm almost certain the you will run a high risk of damaging the AEBS header on a SE-R engine.
:flash:

The AEBS does hang rather low, can bang on things more easily than the HS, and the one I saw installed was a bitch - even on a lift.

I did an AEBS removal last weekend. Not really sure what all the fuss was about. Remove fans, loosen alternator, pull back, unbolt AC compressor, push over, remove crossmember, then the usual header stuff. Took about an hour or so to get out, I figure an hour to go back in, if that. They do hand low, but maybe 1/2" below the crossmember. On a car that isn't lowered that much it should be a non issue.
The pacesetter header uses a ball and socket joint. Those are very problematic in SR20DE cars. Mainly (I think) because our factory mounts suck and let the motor move too much. http://www.nx2k.com/nx2000/exhaust.htm I have a pic or two of my old SR20DE header (2nd one ever made!) with a ball & socket joint. The HS headers crack at the primary. Most of them do it. There are many theories. I just had mine repaired by Hotshot out of warranty for $88. That included shipping back to me, and recoating the header.

True, but those are "compromise" headers. A true 4 into 1 header that has any decent length to it is going to have that problem. It was not that hard.

How much are the AEBS headers and where can I buy one? I can't find anyone who sells them on the net so any help would be great.
