The big obsticle for trucks is lack of space. You'll never get big bass like in cars or SUV's unless you get technicle. What I suggest for my customers is to pick a sub that recomends a real small cabinet and then build a bandpass style box. That way you can tune the box where you need it. It will still play all frequencies but it will self amplify the "dead spot" you need to make it sound nice.
Are you serious who builds the BADpass and what do you use to calculate and graph the response? Ported RE8's or some type of sealed 10's is what I usually sugest.

Not for a small truck. If they want deeper bass then something like a 4th order bandpass would be a better bet. I would never install a sealed box in a truck unless like I did in this one S10. I installed 8 12" woofers Pacman style in a snugcap through the back window.

Nope, well not for us. I have a program that you just put in the sub's parameters, what limitations you have or what you are wanting out of it and kaboom, you're done!
