when i think of supercar i think of 200+ mph from the factory. not saying thats right, just giving my $0.02

When I think of a supercar, it has to have all of the following:

Excellent Power
Excellent handling
Excellent Brakes
Some technical innovation that has not been seen before
Generally recognized as one of the top cars of its era
Maintains its value as a collectors item over time
Must be designed as a street car first, not a race car.

With these criteria, here are some of what I would consider the top exotics:
McLaren F1
Porsche 959
Jaguar XJ220
Ferrari GTO
Ferrari F40
Shelby Cobra

I wouldn't put cars like the Noble M12, Dauer 962, or Ferrari 333SP as supercars because they were designed as race cars first.

for me, i think any supercar is any car that can go over the 205+ mph mark is a super car.
