FASTEST WAY TO MAKE A U-TURN CAN BE FOUND ON THIS SITE-

* i snipped this lil bit of info for ya *

"HANDBRAKE TURN

The hand brake is the savior of front wheel drive in many situations. The front wheel drive car is by far the best at handbrake turns and by far the easiest to master them in.

Due to the fact that the front wheels are driven and the handbrake acts on the rear wheels you can pull the handbrake without coming off the gas.

To perform a 180 and continue in the other direction.

Slow down to about 20-30ish in second gear, pull the handbrake hard enough to lock the rear wheels and steer smoothly in either direction. The car will start to swap ends. When at about 140ish degrees, hit the gas, drop the handbrake, select 1st gear and dump the clutch, all in one smooth motion (takes practice).

This should finish off the 180 and start pulling you down the road amidst a cloud of tyre smoke."

I think the whole process would take hrmm- maybe, conservatively, 15-20 seconds...

Overall length: (in/mm)
177.5/4509 179.0/4547

Taken the above into consideration, I don't think the G20 radius is that bad at all! What I think, personally, I have problems with the G20 is that I find it is difficult to have a good estimate of the park distance for the front and back. Then again, I have been driving the car for the past 7 months.
The turning radius is terrible !!! I have an old '86 Mitsi' turbo FWD that's bigger than the Primera yet it'll turn around in less than 5.4m/19 feet. Where the mitsi will U-turn on a residential 2 lane street, the Primera needs driving to an intersection or T section unless you want to do a 3 point turn.

Strange thing though, my translated owners manual lists the 2.0 Primeras as having a turning circle of 5.4m as well ??? I wonder if someone adjusted the steering lock stop bolts so that the 17" wheels, previously on the car, wouldn't rub ?? or maybe it's not a very good translation ?? hmmmn ...

I personally know your "pain." I don't have much trouble parking my itty bitty G when I can park a GMC Savanna conversion van! Darn thing was a biotch to drive until I got used to it.

Just learn where the sides of your car are... Practice makes perfect. To be honest, the way that I learn where the "far" side of my car is: I stand in the exact middle of the front of the car w/my arms outstretched. This way I know that the car is xx-inches bigger/smaller than I am tall, so I can visualize where my arms would be if I were standing in the parking space... Just a goofy suggestion.

I'm with silver-G20, you need to park. I have no problems parking my G20. I parked crooked once cuz I was being a jerk, and some fool in the next parking space opened their door and left a small dent in my tail learned my lesson then and there, lol.
