Re: wheres my oil going???

friend of mine had a truck that use to eat 1 quart every week. it never leaked oil and you didnt really see any blue smoke coming out. but of course just because there isnt any thick blue smoke doesnt mean its not burning oil

i think your burning oil and its either your valve stem seals or your rings. check your blowby, pull out that little hose on the top of your valve cover and see if it has alot of air coming out of it and or oil

If you crank it up to the high rpms every shift and drive over 80 mph, you car will burn more oil, no matter how good your rings are.
Drop your highway speed to a little bit under 80, and that'll stop. Try it for a week, if you have the discipline to stay off the pedal, and you prove it to yourself.

HEHE that sounds like my prob, i drive a this 2 lane hwy every morrning, and i do like 95 to 100 mph. so that must be what the prob it. i don't have a ring prob. i'll try to go slower, but damn it's sooooo hard!!!
